Rationale
Is it possible to geek out about a city? Of course it is, if you live in someplace like San Francisco. But what if you live somewhere else? I geek out about my hometown, Sacramento, California. I loved it, I left it, I came rushing back into its fry-an-egg on the sidewalk hot embrace.
And this city I call home looms large in my personal blogosphere. Yet Uneasy Rhetoric is fundamentally a personal blog. It is uneasy because it can’t quite settle on a topic. Instead, it flits from passion to passion, touching on urban life, environmentalism, politics, language, transportation, life-work balance, and more than a little nostalgia.

Colophon
I use WordPress to build this site. Originally I coded my own php and mySQL, but that got tedious, and WordPress is shiny and keen.
I use Akismet to block comment spam, but it isn’t perfect; if my site doesn’t let you comment and you aren’t trying to get me to gamble, buy property, or grow my already formidable manliness, please let me know.
