Uneasy Rhetoric

For those of you who’ve been wondering about the building going up on J Street between 8th and 9th, it’s nearing completion. This project was originally called Plaza Lofts. Now they’re calling it “800J Lofts,” and it has a website. The flash intro is lame but mercifully without music. The lofts are scheduled to open in May.

There isn’t anything on the website yet, but you can sign up for more information or, supposedly, to get on their waiting list. Personally, I’m hoping they’ll conduct some tours when the building is near finished. I’ve been watching this thing go up since I moved back to Sacramento in October 2003 and am anxious to see it built and occupied. I also really want to see inside!
