Sushi steakhouse. Can pasta be far behind?

Tags:

In case you aren’t following the comments here, Livinginurbansac posted about a new restaurant planned for the former location of Emma’s Tacohouse:

Harvest Ventures Inc. is taking almost the entire first floor of the historic Sun Building at 717 K and putting in a restaurant called 3 Monkeys that’ll be dishing up a mid-priced menu of steaks, wraps and sushi. The eatery will wrap around the Starbucks cafe now in the century-old building’s southwest corner. (From the Bee)

The also further proves the old maxim: A Starbucks may never close, but only open.

Furthermore, the restaurant will have an open patio because, you know, there is nothing better than sushi outdoors on a hot day in August. Just ask the flies.

Far be it for me to complain about any improvement to this blighted section of K Street, but c’mon, people. Can’t we be a little more creative than *another* sushi place.
