I like The Now Habit. I've been using what I've learned to break a cycle of procrastination that had grown out of control. I'm still bad, but it's getting better. Knowing a little about why I procrastinate was a big, big step for me.

And I've modified GTD somewhat myself. Someday I may post about how I use it because I think some of my mods might be useful in the nonprofit development world. But I'd like to use my system consistently first!

I got pretty lucky my first time with a personal organization system by reading Getting Things Done thanks to recommendations by bloggers (including you) and references on 43Folders and Lifehacker. I don't do everything by the book, but a few months into the process it has already made a huge difference in my work and my life. I've read a few things since then (notably The Now Habit) that fits into the GTD philosophy nicely.

And for the work stuff it couldn't have come at a better time since I'm transitioning from front-line techie to manager of techies. The old way wasn't working for managing my workload--let alone the workload of anyone else :)
