Uneasy Rhetoric

I should have posted this weeks ago, but since I’m about to post about their old location, I thought I should mention that I’ve been to the new Marilyns on K.

I’m sure the place is just astounding for shows. There’s lots of room for big crowds. But as a bar for a drink after work, Marilyns doesn’t work for me. It’s depressing. After hearing about all the money they sunk into this location, I have to wonder where it went. The walls are bare and the furniture is spartan.

Furthermore, I should not have to pay $4.50 for a 16oz pint of Fat Tire at 5:30 on a weeknight. What kind of happy hour is that?

Not a very happy one.
