Party with the French

Tags: ,

The Alliance Française de Sacramento is hosting a “Fête de Noël” next Saturday from 4pm to 6pm. The fete is $5 for non-members (members get in free).

If you’ve ever been curious about the AFdeSac, this would be a good opportunity to meet some of the folks who make it run and other folks, like me, who are just glad it’s here.

The Alliance is an international organization dedicated to promoting the French language and culture abroad. Sacramento’s Alliance chapter is relatively young (1999 maybe? I can’t remember). It’s primary activity right now is language classes for all levels. I’ve been taking classes through the Alliance since the summer of 2004 and I’ve been very happy with them.

Unfortunately, they’re not very good at keeping the website up-to-date, so here are the details:

When: Saturday December 10, 4pm to 6pm.
Where: Alliance Française
1721 25th Street, Sacramento
What: Cakes, cookies, and sweets
Hot cocoa, spiced wine, and coffee
Good cheers and caroling in French.

Please call the office at (916) 453-1723 or email them at afs at afdesacramento dot org to let them know how many will attend. Pay at the door.
