London Calling
Tags: londonI was thinking this morning as I listened to the news how fortunate I was that I didn’t know anyone in London right now. No friends, no family (that I’m aware of). But, I certainly know of people in London.
For example, I’m a semi-faithful listener to the Radio Clash mash-up podcast. Tim, the podcaster, lives in London and works at Edgeware Road:
The area in front of the office and around Edgware Road is closed and police are everywhere; I saw press and others there, and the pictures on the BBC website of what happened to the bus at Tavistock Square and at Edgware Road are terrifying, even though they don’t show much. We’ve been told not to go anywhere as there might be other bombs.
I feel sick, I feel scared. The whole city is in lockdown, no trains, no buses, we’re told not to move, 5 bomb blasts across the city and I can’t contact all my friends some of who would have been moving through the zone. I’ m sick with worry, and the feeling that if I hadn’t overslept I’d have been in the midst of it all…as it was the stations closed as I arrived and I had to walk.
Glad to hear he’s okay, and I hope his friends are, as well.
