Hana’s Corner **1/2

Hana’s Corner **1/2

Hana’s Corner is yet another of Sacramento’s convenience-store turned delis. Unlike others though, Hana’s sells no alcohol; instead there is a sign directing customers wishing to get drunk to Rodney’s, an “interesting” store on the corner of 10th and J, specializing in all of the major convenience store vices from postcards to Pr0n.

Hana’s interior is spartan but the deli case has a wide selection of deli salads, which I admit I have not tried.

Their sandwich menu is pretty standard, as are their sandwiches. My hot pastrami was okay but served with too much mayonnaise and yellow mustard - it fell apart as I ate it. But then again, a sandwich is a sandwich.

Service is friendly and fast enough, but depends on how many people they have working behind the lunch counter.

Two stars for being an unspectacular sandwich shop; an extra half-star for giving side dish options well beyond a bag of chips.
