Plogress Report
Tags: politicsFind out what your federal Senators and Representatives are up to. Plogress is a WordPress-based multi-blog that looks like it tracks legislative activity for each Senator and Representative at the federal level. (Thanks to Marnie at Ext337, who has a new domain!)
It isn’t obvious right away how to get the RSS feeds for each elected official, but it isn’t hard. Navigate to the page for your official and where it says “Site” on the left-hand site, copy the URL from the RSS link there. The URL will have your state and the member of congress’ district number in it; note that senators are numbered, I think, according to which election cycle they’re on (1, 2, or 3).
For example, here are the feeds for my folks:
Senator Dianne Feinstein
Senator Barbara Boxer
Congresswoman Doris O. Matsui
Very useful for legislation wonks. If you want to find out more “fluffy” news about what your elected officials are up to, you can always set up a Google News query and subscribe to the email for that (or set up an RSS feed).
