Sampras and Chang
Tags: entertainmentIt seems like tennis players of my generation are dropping out of the rat race. Both Pete Sampras and Michael Chang have retired. It’s a little sad. Agassi, who keeps on going (hoorah) summed it up pretty well: “It’s a weird feeling,” Agassi said of seeing Sampras and Chang retire. “You expect to leave the dance with the ones you came with. When they decide it’s time for them, it’s a sad feeling. … Sometimes you wish things would never change.”
From a Yahoo News story.
Agassi is right. He belongs to an earlier generation of tennis players. I imagine it’s like being the guy that hangs around college when everyone else has graduated and gone away.
